Kevin Mannix
President
I own a law firm in Salem where I practice business law. I serve on several non-profit boards and community organizations. I had the benefit of a Catholic education as a youngster and I have seen the strong positive impact it had on my own children who attended Catholic schools through twelfth grade. I want to make sure Catholic education is always available to our community.
Jennifer C. Paul

An attorney at Saalfeld Griggs PC, I grew-up in Salem and attended Queen of Peace Elementary School and Blanchet Middle School. Parochial education was a big part of my life, and I enjoy serving on the Salem Catholic Schools Foundation to help give back to the community that shaped me.
Scott Schaefer

I currently work as a Controller at Willamette University. I attended St. Vincent de Paul and St. Joseph Catholic Schools as a child. My wife and I send our three sons to Salem Catholic schools and believe in the value of a Catholic education.
Lowell Smith, Ph. D.

I work as a school psychologist for the Salem-Keizer Public Schools. My children and grandchildren have been blessed to attend Catholic schools. A Catholic education educates the whole person and is an extension of family values. I have served on the Blanchet Catholic School Board since 1995 and the Salem Catholic Schools Foundation Board since 2010.
Michelle Lisa Brandner-Hegney

Throughout my 25 year career with the State of Oregon, I have served the public. I have done research on rules, educated people on housing and insurance programs, and currently I work in human resources for the Department of Corrections. All of these jobs have helped me become a person who wants to give to the community. My children are the third generation to attend St. Vincent de Paul School. I served at St Vincent de Paul School as President of the Parent Club and I was the Chair for the Student Advisory Committee. The community at church and school while growing up helped to root me in my faith and inspired me to give back, especially to the schools. Something I feel is important for the future of our local Catholic schools is educating the Salem youth and nurturing the faith community among the families.
Nicole Weston

I work as an attorney at the Kevin L. Mannix Law Firm. I attended St. Vincent De Paul, St. Joseph, St. Mary, and Regis Catholic Schools growing up. I also attended the University of Portland for my undergraduate degree and Seattle University for my law degree. I fully believe in and support the value of a Catholic education. I lived in Seattle for nearly 20 years and upon my return home to Salem in 2019, I joined the Salem Catholic Schools Foundation Board.
Sara Mendez

I have been with Salem-Keizer Public Schools since 2006 as an educator. I am currently the Office Manager for the Salem-Keizer Public Schools EDGE Program (Enhanced Digital and Guided Education) since 2020. My son is a student at St Vincent De Paul Dual Language Immersion School. I wanted to be more involved in his educational experience with the school and support the Catholic education of all students. With a strong background in education, and a former Catholic school student, I know the value a Catholic education offers students both from a personal and professional angle.
Enrique Rodriguez

My career spans over twenty-five years and counting of public service. I am currently a Senior Procurement and Contract Specialist for the Oregon State Police. I have worked for a variety of State of Oregon Agencies within my current role as well as a Senior Human Resource Generalist, Benefits Eligibility Worker, and Migrant/Seasonal Farmworker Representative. I am a proud parent and uncle to a multitude of current and alumni of Blanchet, St. Joseph, and St. Vincent Catholic Schools. Catholic schools have significantly contributed to the academic and spiritual well-being of my family. It is an honor to serve on the board.
